Born in 1954, Fred J. Hoppe grew up in the rural community of Schuyler, Nebraska.

World Renown

Artist Fred Hoppe became his sculpting career in over 30 years ago. He has since become an internationally renown artist.

Over 50 years' Experience

As a pioneer in museum quality taxidermy, artist Fred Hoppe began his creative career at the age of 13 when he became a self-taught taxidermist. In addition to carpentry and home building/design, decades of developing ground-breaking techniques led to award winning taxidermy displays. An understanding of structure and anatomy provided Hoppe with platform to create world-class sculptures.

Pursuing a passion for the outdoors motivated Hoppe to explore, including 40+ trips to the Alaskan bush and a 1991 safari in Zimbabwe. His works are world-renown, including the world's largest wildlife sculpture outside of Cabela's, Kansas City.

Stadium statues are symbolic of a program's culture within. As a former college athlete, Hoppe believes sports are about more than stats or a win/loss record. His work sends a message, that character is built by overcoming challenges and becoming your best.

Growing up as the son of decorated WWII front-line infantryman, Hoppe was inspired to produce the first of 200+ life-size soldiers created throughout his career. He believes in a commitment to honor our fallen heroes.
